Aflată în ultimele zile în centrul celui mai mare scandal privind desemnarea reprezentantului României la Eurovision 2019, Laura Bretan a oferit o impresionantă lecție de demnitate și înțelepciune.
În ciuda modului în care a fost nedreptățită de cei doi „specicialiști” homosexuali din juriul alcătuit de TVR pentru finala Eurovision România, după ce câștigase detașat votului publicului român, Laura Bretan a vorbit, pentru prima dată, în emisiunea Sinteza Zilei, la Antena 3, despre cum a resimțit această injustiție. Fără resentimente, cu zâmbetul pe buze, Laura Bretan a mulțumit celor care au votat-o, recunoscând că a fost surprinsă de modul în care unii membri ai juriului au acordat punctele.
„Am cântat cum am putut eu mai bine și am simțit că oamenii au rezonat la cântecul meu. Asta este cel mai important pentru mine”, a spus Laura.
Mihai Gâdea a amintit motivul pentru care cea mai tânără interpretă de la Eurovision România, care a impresionat publicul, a fost depunctată, ajungând, spre surprinderea tuturor, pe locul 2: prezența ei într-un clip de susținere a familiei tradiționale, în vara anului trecut, în campania pentru Referendumul pentru Familie.
Întrebată de jurnalist, ce ar face dacă timpul s-ar putea da înapoi iar cineva ar avertiza-o că apariția ei într-un clip pro familie îi va spulbera șansele de a ajunge la Eurovision, Laura Bretan a răspuns: ”Cred că aș face la fel. Pentru că în asta cred eu. Asta e vocea mea și trebuie să fie auzită.
Cred că familia este un dar de la bunul Dumnezeu și cred că nu ar trebui să o distrugem. Trebuie să o lăsăm așa cum a lăsat-o Dumnezeu”.

Russell L Mercer: Such a strong and beautiful from such a beautiful young woman. She is truly amazing and gifted. I’m an old man who uses music to help deal with chronic pain and health issues that come often as we age and this young lady brings tears to my eyes every time I hear her sing.
I simply can’t get enough of this young lady! Don’t understand a word of her music as I’ve said before,but, she looks like a Goddess, has a voice that makes angels weep. More importantly, unlike many singers today, she doesn’t just sing a song, she performs a song, pacing it and building it from start to finish with a polish seldom seen from today’s singers. What a rising star!

Paul Cotter: Anyone who give this talented young lady a thumbs down must be brain dead from listening to this modern so called music that turn up the sound and scream. To sing like this takes talent and a God given gift. It’s so sad that today for the most part one would rather damage their hearing and leave in a state of madness. When they could go listen to real music and be blessed, leaving with a feeling of total peace with oneself.
